01 - Slice ripe bananas and freeze until solid.
02 - Add frozen bananas, milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, creamy peanut butter, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to a blender.
03 - Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
04 - Sample the smoothie and adjust the sweetness with additional maple syrup or honey if desired.
05 - Pour the smoothie into two glasses.
06 - Top with optional whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or crushed peanuts. Serve immediately.
